Employment Specialist
This program is designed to place individuals into competitive employment. The task of the job coach is to interview the person for his or her interests, strengths, and capabilities. Through an assessment tool, the individual is guided to employment opportunities where he or she can have success.
Utilizing his or her knowledge of community resources, the employment specialist will identify potential job opportunities; help the person with the interview process and then work one-on-one with the individual as he or she gains independence. The job coach phases out of the relationship as he or she grows in skills and confidence.
