Welcome
The Williamsburg County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs was created by state legislation and county ordinance to provide services to people with disabilities and special needs in Williamsburg County.
Each local Disabilities and Special Needs (DSN) Board serves as the initial entry point into the DDSN system. The DSN Board, or the Information and Referral System for persons suspected of having a head or spinal cord injury, will first screen an applicant to determine if an eligibility packet should be completed and sent to the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN). At this point, the applicant can choose from a list of qualified service coordination or early intervention providers to assist them in the eligibility determination process.
The Williamsburg County DSN Board is here to assist families to coordinate the appropriate care for their family member regardless of race, age, sex or religious preferences.
